  • The 2nd Wenzhou International Rehabilitation Conference

  •   In 2025, the National Science and Technology Workers' Day Rehabilitation Science Popularization Conference & the Second Wenzhou International Rehabilitation Congress was successfully held in Wenzhou.  

      From May 28 to 30, the 2025 National Science and Technology Workers' Day Rehabilitation Science Popularization Conference & the Second Wenzhou International Rehabilitation Congress, hosted by the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association and Wenzhou Medical University, took place in Wenzhou. Top experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs in the field of rehabilitation, including academicians from home and abroad, gathered in Wenzhou.  

      The conference featured forums such as the "Rehabilitation Masters Forum," "Internet+Rehabilitation Based on IoT Technology Forum," "High-Quality Development of Elderly Rehabilitation in the Longevity Era Forum," "Isokinetic Technology Theory and Practice Forum," "AI+Rehabilitation Equipment Innovation and Development Forum," and "Precision Nutrition Promoting Rehabilitation Innovation Forum." These forums disseminated rehabilitation knowledge, showcased cutting-edge achievements and diagnostic technologies, empowered public health, and contributed to the "Healthy China" initiative.  

      Attendees included Peng Mingqiang, Party Secretary, Executive Vice President, and Secretary-General of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association; Niu Enxi, Supervisor and Full-time Deputy Party Secretary of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association; Professor Fang Guo'en, Director of the Association's Expert Committee; Lü Lin, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Disabled Persons' Federation; Jin Huanmin, Party Secretary of Wenzhou Medical University; and Li Xiaokun, President of Wenzhou Medical University and academician, among others.  

      At the opening ceremony, Jin Huanmin delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the organizers. The conference was co-chaired by Song Weihong, Academic Vice President of Wenzhou Medical University and academician of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, and Jing Rong, Deputy Director of the Science Popularization Committee of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association and Director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Department of Yan'an University Affiliated Hospital.  

      During the opening ceremony, academicians Wang Zhenchang, Su Guohui, and Li Xiaokun, as well as renowned domestic rehabilitation experts including Li Jian'an, Sun Kun, Song Weihong, Wang Ruili, Xu Jianwen, Jing Rong, Liao Limin, Li Jianhua, Chen Lin, Jin Lingjing, Lin Jian, Wang Ru, Yuan Zhaohong, and Zhang Hongwei, delivered outstanding keynote reports.  

      At the conference, the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association and Wenzhou Medical University signed a strategic cooperation agreement.  

     Certificates were awarded to representatives of winners of the Seventh Science Popularization Competition of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association. 

      The conference also launched the 2025 National Science and Technology Workers' Day Rehabilitation Science Popularization Campaign and Membership Day of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association.  

      During the event, several other activities took place, including the launch meeting for the People's Medical Publishing House textbook "Artificial Intelligence Rehabilitation," the unveiling ceremony of the Wenzhou Medical University Ouran Scholarship and Joint Teaching Laboratory, the unveiling ceremony of the Zhejiang Provincial Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Prevention and Treatment Technology Innovation and Application of Children and Adolescent Scoliosis, and the awarding ceremony of the Wenzhou Medical University Rehabilitation Medicine Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration Base. Additionally, the Wenzhou Medical University Rehabilitation Clinical Management Committee and the Wenzhou Adolescent Rehabilitation Committee were established.  

      The conference attracted over 800 participants, including faculty, students, and professionals from universities, medical institutions, and rehabilitation enterprises from more than 10 provinces and cities across China, as well as from the United States, Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand.  

      The Seventh National Rehabilitation Science Popularization Innovation Competition held during the conference received over 1,300 submissions from rehabilitation workers at medical institutions and universities. The event was live-streamed online via Guangming.com, garnering over 3.79 million views.
