1. Professional overview

The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of Wenzhou Medical University was established in 2003 and began to recruit undergraduate science students in rehabilitation therapy in 2004. In 2007, it was the first batch of pilot training bases for rehabilitation specialists of the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. In 2021, the School of Rehabilitation Medicine was jointly established with the China Center for Rehabilitation Medicine, and Academician Li Xiaokun of the Chinese Academy of Engineering personally served as the Dean of the School of Rehabilitation Medicine.

The sports rehabilitation major is an interdisciplinary discipline of clinical medicine, physical education and rehabilitation medicine, featuring "medical and physical integration" and practicing the concepts of "sports prevention" and "sports therapy". Through four years of undergraduate study, students will be equipped with solid practical sports rehabilitation skills with musculoskeletal rehabilitation as the core.

2. Training objectives

Initially master physical education, rehabilitation medicine, and clinical medicine, and systematically master the basic theories, basic skills, basic methods and related knowledge of sports rehabilitation on this basis, so as to become rehabilitation treatment talents with strong practical ability. Mainly engaged in sports rehabilitation treatment, sports fitness guidance, sports injury prevention, health measurement and evaluation, sports health care practical talents.
